1. M/S. Prag Bosimi Synthetics Ltd. (PBSL)
PBSL, a sick joint sector unit in Assam co-promoted by AIDC Ltd. had submitted a Revival Proposal to AIDC to revive the project. As per 265th AIDC’s Board Meeting decision, the proposal was scrutinized by the AIDC’s Technical Committee and by an independent Chartered Accountant. The CA. viewed that the proposal is technically feasible and economically viable and AIDC’s Technical Committee also recommended that the proposal of the company for value addition by way of converting POY to TY may be accepted by the Govt. of Assam / AIDC Ltd. and should assists the company with financial assistance of Rs. 65.00 Crore for revival of the project as below:

The proposal was submitted to the Industries & Commerce Department, Govt. of Assam. The Industries & Commerce Department forwarded the proposal to the Public Enterprises Department for approval of Public Investment Board (PIB). The Board in its meeting held on 22 nd May, 2014 has approved the proposal of Industries & Commerce Department for investment of Rs. 65.00 crore by Assam Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. for revival of the JVC M/s Prag Bosimi Synthetics Ltd. Proposal for Rs. 65.00 crore has been sent to Govt. for the purpose.
The Govt. of Assam is requested to allocate and sanction the fund of Rs. 65.00 crore during the financial year 2014-15 of Annual Plan in favour of AIDC Ltd. for revival of PBSL.
2. M/S. Calcom Cement India Ltd. (CCIL)

|5||PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT||Main purpose of the project is to utilize local raw materials for producing cement. Which will not only make the state of Assam fully self sufficient in cement, it would be in a position to support the other states, including exporting to neighboring SAARC & ASEAN countries. The project would boost economic development of Assam and overall of the North Eastern region, by ensuring availability of cement at economical cost required for major infrastructural projects in the region. This project would also create ample opportunities of direct & indirect employment.|
